The First half of Bad Education is good and promises to be a much better movie than it turns out to be.
It"s well worth a look for the good performances. I feel though it could have been a much better film with more drama and a better script especially a better conclusion which is abrupt and in my opinion silly.
Excellent performances from Hugh Jackman who plays a closeted gay man Frank Tassone who is the beloved superintendent of New York"s Roslyn school district. Also Allison Janney as Pam Gluckin his assistant.
Based on true events Frank Tassone and his staff, friends and relatives become the prime suspects in the unfolding of the single largest public school embezzlement scandal in American history.
It"s a pity the screenwriter Mike Makowsky and Director Corey Finley didn"t put more emphasis on the storyline based on the article titled "The Bad Superintendent."published in New York Magazine by Robert Kolker. It"s a long film and had plenty of time for a decent conclusion rather than screen credits explaining the outcome a trial I feel would have added drama to the movie.
What"s the name of the song that gets used in it, not the theme tune. I live in country where the provlem of corruption is one of the main. This film shiws not only the problem itself but the psychological aspect of ot. Firstly, the plot is good, it"s real story that tells in very good way with humour and drama changing each other. Secondly, the cast is good but all attention is taken by Hugh Jackman, he plays a person who chose the outer side of his work.

I watched this for about 30 minutes, and was bored out of my mind. I assume there was a point to the movie but I have no idea what it was. What was the clincher was a scene where Jackman was kissing some dude. No thank you. I don"t need to see that.
